About the Project
How to design a best-in-class In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) experience: Start with a strong brand identity and enhance it through innovation and user experience design
We had already created the new Saudia entertainment and passenger experience brand, SaudiaBEYOND, and the first continuation project was to utilise this visual design system for the next generation IFE-C systems from OEM providers, Panasonic, and Thales
Designing the content discovery experience for Audio Visual On-Demand is crucial, along with other modules like seat-back shopping, food ordering, and cutting-edge features. These all require careful design and innovation
Collaborating with Panasonic and Thales was essential to ensure the design, user flow, and business rules were properly implemented. Weekly consultations, walk-throughs, and usability testing ensured quality and led to many successful innovations
We were mindful to apply brand identity at every touch point and throughout the UX and UI, the visual aesthetics, and the written word. With SaudiaBEYOND, we could bring the tradition of Saudi Arabian hospitality together with the Kingdom’s future vision.
